Wine Tasting Information for SBSSA Members

Wine Tasting & Yacht Tour is the only fundraising event of the year (Saturday October 5, 2019)  and it brings approximately 60-75% of SBSSA operating budget. Because of this event, the cost of sailing with SBSSA is very low. It is a fun day for everyone. Skippers, except older skippers (>13 years old) cannot participate. Mark your calendar to be available all of that afternoon/evening. Every family must participate in at least 4 ways:

  • Selling tickets

  • Providing at least 2 silent auction items

  • Preparing at least 5 trays of 50 appetizers (finger food - cold - homemade)

  • Providing 2 adult volunteers on the day of the event (for the full duration)

  • Option: baking finger food deserts

  • Option: volunteer for one of the positions below


See below volunteer opportunities to help organize the event. In 2019, it will be the 37th Annual Event. It is a well practiced and well organized event. If you have a talent, interest, for any of the roles below, please contact the Commodore. We need your help.
