Alumni Regatta

Please join us on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. on Sea Shell Beach (West Beach) for the Santa Barbara Sea Shell Association Annual Semana Nautica Alumni Regatta. We invite anyone who has been a member of Sea Shells in a prior year—as a child or parent—to race with us on this special day. Others are encouraged to come and support the action as well, so bring your family, friends and Sea Shell spirit! July 6 is a normal race day for our youth skippers; however, we will run two races for Sea Shell Alumni in lieu of our normal adult race. Alumni are invited to use club-owned boats, including US Sabots, RS Teras, and O’Pen Skiffs!

We ask that participating Alumni make a minimum $50 donation to SBSSA to reserve the opportunity to race. The number of Alumni participants varies each year. If necessary, boats will be assigned through a random drawing, with participation priority given to those who register and donate online first. The winner of the two-race Alumni Regatta will be awarded a commemorative trophy!

Use the “Donate Here” button below to make your donation of at least $50, and make sure to include your name with reference to Alumni Regatta so we can keep track of your timely sign up. Advance registration closes Saturday, July 5, at 9:00 a.m., though walk-ups before noon on Sunday, July 6 are welcome.
