Out-of-town regatta: Mission Bay (San Diego)

Here comes the fun summer! Come and join our only out-of-town regatta in Mission Bay near San Diego. It is hosted by the Mission Bay yacht club. Regatta Sunday and Monday. Fun week-end. You may camp, stay in hotel, with friends or with the hosts. Contact Diana Lovan for details.

Always a wonderful events for novice families and well experience skippers as well.

Get a chance to sail on the Harbor 20! Great boat - Skippers will need to sign up to participate - Parent may join in if there are spaces available.

Opportunity for skippers to sail on a different type of boats. Time (and day) may be updated (stay tuned). Will need to register to participate (RSVP). No additional cost. A chance to sail on other boats.

Adult Instructional

The adult instructional has been rescheduled. This is the opportunity for parents to practice their sailing skills without their little skipper around. We will provide individual coaching. Come dressed up to sail (wetsuit/lifejacket) at noon at the launch ramp and we will rig the boats. You should be finished by 3:00 pm/ 3:30 pm at the very latest. Please email commodore@sbssa.org to indicate that you are coming so that we know how many people to expect. Usually, it is a small group that allows excellent personalized coaching!

Skipper's Party

For skippers only (no sibling). Party at a pool with team games, including making your own raft in cardboard. Pizza lunch included. Will need a few parents only for chaperons. Professional lifeguard present. Participation cost: $10 only. Fun day for skippers to get to know each other and have fun.

Adult Instructional - POSTPONED!

FORECAST on Saturday is for 20 knots of wind: too much for the Instructional!

Coaching / instructional for parent only. Rig your boat, wear a lifejacket (and optional wetsuit) and we will be there to coach you through tacks/gybe practice and going around the mark. A great chance to hone your skill without any children around.
